James Goodnow
James Goodnow, a Harvard Law School graduate and firm partner, is routinely recognized for not only his legal mind, but also for his leading-edge approach to successfully representing his clients. He is a litigator who has chaired or co-chaired hundreds of cases to successful resolution. He has attained the highest possible rating from his peers, AV-Preeminent, for ethical standards and legal knowledge.
Part of Goodnow’s success stems from his creativity. He takes an outside-the-box perspective when representing clients, looking for new ways to represent their claims, illustrate their experiences and represent them. Often, technology is a critical part of Goodnow’s strategy—from the way his team launches claims, communicates with clients and presents claims.
His team’s novel use of integrating iPad and iOS technology into cases was recognized by Apple, which made James the first lawyer featured in any of its worldwide commercials. The ABA Journal, which is the official publication of the American Bar Association, named James one of “America’s techiest lawyers” in a cover story.
As a result of his success and his unique approach to the law, Goodnow is often featured in news reports and interviewed for his perspective on the law. James has appeared on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, ABC News, the Today Show, Good Morning America, NBC News, CBS news, local news stations, and more.
Print journalists from the Washington Post, USA Today, Wall Street Journal and the local media around the country also have turned to James to comment on prominent cases and his legal views.
Outside the courtroom and the office, Goodnow is active in his community. A father of two, James is a vocal and prominent advocate for the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona and is a member of several philanthropic boards.
