Fatal truck accident on Arizona’s I-10

Trucks on the road today carry necessary goods from point “A” to point “B.” They keep the standard of living at an all time high, making all needs and wants available 24/7 to the public. Semi-trucks are the largest vehicle on the road and can pose safety risks to those traveling on the roadways. Such was the case when a semi-truck driver’s inattentiveness may have caused an accident on Arizona’s Interstate 10.

Four vehicles were involved in the fatal accident on I-10 near Cortero Road. According to police officers, a tractor-trailer crossed the median and struck the other three vehicles. The driver of the tractor-trailer died on impact. The driver of the other semi-trailer suffered serious injuries and the driver of a smaller moving truck suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital.

At this time, it is not known what caused the tractor-trailer to cross over the median and hit the vehicles in the other lane. It could have been any number of things — but these will come to light after a thorough investigation. The injuries sustained to the other people and property in the accident could be attributed to the truck driver or the truck driver’s company and those injured may be entitled to compensation. This is only true if evidence proves the driver’s negligence directly caused the accident and injuries.

In cases such as this it is important that authorities conduct an investigation to determine what exactly caused the accident. Evidence found during the investigation could help prevent accidents such as this one from happening again. Safety on the road is and should continue to be every driver’s main priority. This mindset can help ensure the well-being of everyone driving on the road today.
