Woman speeds, hits car waiting at red light in Phoenix

More negligence on the roads led to a fatal car accident in Phoenix, Arizona recently, as a car waiting at a red light was struck by a speeding vehicle. Two other vehicles were eventually involved in the tragic wreck. Two people in the vehicle waiting at the red light were killed in the crash, and two other people were injured — one critically, requiring a trip to the hospital.

Police will investigate the unfortunate car accident and will try to figure out why the woman driving the speeding vehicle was unaware of the upcoming red light, or the vehicle that was stopped at it. The incredibly negligent act by the woman is infuriating for many people in the Phoenix area, as we have seen crash after crash over the last couple of months claiming lives under the most reckless and irresponsible circumstances.

What was the woman doing prior to the crash? Was she intoxicated in some way? Was she texting or talking on her cellphone? Was she distracted in some other way, such as by fiddling with the radio or talking with someone in her vehicle? Was she simply not paying attention to the road?

If any of those circumstances are true, the woman was negligent and she could pay the price for it not only in criminal court, but in civil court as well. Personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits may soon follow in the wake of the completed investigation. Accidents like this don’t have to happen, and any victims should hold the at-fault party accountable for their negligent decision.
