Zoha Yasmin Siddiqui
Zoha Siddiqui is a rising Senior at Sidwell Friends High School in Washington, D.C. Two years ago she founded HER (HER education is HER right), a non-profit organization dedicated to building sustainable libraries with quality learning materials for underfunded girls’ schools in developing countries.
Summer Law School Scholarship
Nikita Bhojani
Coming from an immigrant family, Nikita Bhojani, JD Candidate, Class of 2019, University of Richmond School of Law, believes that her “two swords” are legal education and service. Growing up, her differences in language, race, and religion often anchored her down but she found confidence and motivation from her parents’ hard work and their adversities to make the “American dream” a reality. As a first-generation minority student, she continues to show perseverance in the face of difficulties. Experiences like judicial internships and law school activities allowed her to find solitude through service; an ability to give back motivated her to be a voice for others. By receiving this scholarship, Bhojani hopes to continue her drive for academic excellence, while reducing the financial hardship of student loans.
