If it’s possible for one motor vehicle accident to be more terrifying than another motor vehicle accident, than you could say that rollover accidents bring a certain added level of dread than your ordinary bumper-to-bumper collision. Rollover accidents tend to involve just one vehicle, as the driver loses control of his or her vehicle, or some sort of mechanical failure leads to the car rolling over.
Rollover accidents also tend to occur on highways, where high speeds make it easier for a vehicle to overturn. Regardless of the circumstances that caused the rollover accident, these wrecks can cause significant brain injuries to accident victims. These injuries and their effects can last for a long time, or they may even be permanent.
That’s why victims of rollover accidents need to consult a personal injury attorney after their accident. If another vehicle was involved and that driver was negligent, you could be entitled to some significant compensation to help pay for your medical bills and pain and suffering. This is even more important should you suffer a debilitating brain injury.
A recent rollover accident in Phoenix highlighted this type of wreck yet again, and it was even scarier this time despite only involving one vehicle. A semi-truck flipped over on a highway, spilling the vehicle all across the lanes of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway. The highway was closed as a result, and there was no word about the injuries suffered by the driver of the truck. An investigation will be launched and more should be known soon.
